What is a good household budget?

Does anyone know a simple online budget, or maybe budgeting software? I really need to get myself on a budget and start saving some money. I am 45 years old and have $1.50 to my name and that is not an exaggeration or a typo. No savings, no retirement fund, no nothing. Just $1.50 in my checking account. I've been living like this for years and it's just too stressful. I make decent money, but I SUCK at budgeting. Thanks for your help.
