Why is the moderator in the VP debates allowed to be a huge Obama supporter? ?

She is about to release a pro-Obama book, so it's not really a question of IF she is a huge supporter or not. Won't this affect the types of questions that are asked? I think they probably should have picked someone more in the middle, rather than very liberal.
