Ecological footprint science project help needed please!?

Ok I've decided to do a 9th grade science project by testing how the age of the person effects their ecological footprint. I have a few ideas of just maybe printing the tests out on paper, and placing them in local stores for people as a survey. I see the glitches in this, and I'm not sure what to do. Does anybody have any ideas on how I can do this project to the fullest accuracy and promptness?
