What do you think about this situation, in judging people, by the clothes they wear?

i make my own clothes...jewelry...accessories...all those things...i wear them each day...many times they are very colorful and one of a kind...when people aren't staring at my facial symmetry, makeup, or skin, they are staring at my clothes...some frown on me, look away, give evil looks of jealousy, while others, smile, so...what do you think about people judging people by their clothes?...it happens to me all the time?...sure my clothes is different, and often admired for being different...but what do you think about people who judge people based on their clothes, and stare?
