Gold-Plated Copper Alloy Wound strings..?

do they work the same as nylon strings ...? they are the 4th, 5th, and 6th string ...the first three are made of nylon...I THOUGHT THAT THE 4TH 5TH AND 6TH WERE GOING TO BE MADE OF NYLON AS WELL ...but it says on the package that they're Gold-Plated Copper Alloy Wound strings....ooohhh by the way as you can probably tell I'm a beginner..
