What do I do about a suspected theft attempt with my car?

I have a crazy ex boyfriend, and we went through a bad breakup and we still have some of each others things, one of them being a leather biker jacket that his mom paid a lot of money for for christmas that happened to be in my trunk. I park my car in a storage lot at college and sometime between last weekend and now, someone tried to pry out BOTH of my tail lights using a screwdriver (i think) most likely to try and get into the trunk. I have no way of contacting him (changed cell phone no.'s, etc....) so what do i do about it? thank you!
