My 8 month old baby wakes up about 5 times at night crying and kicking and does not settles?

until a bottle of milk is given. I have tried given her a pacifier and water but nothing works she only wants milk, this has been happening since she was a newborn, but she never grew out of it...what can I do? is it a habit? a disorder? I am concern because at night she drinks 5 bottles of formula each one containing 5 ounces
