Is it just me, or has music gone down hill?

No one write songs with lyrics like Rod Stewart,, Gordon Lightfoot, and, Waylon Jennings & Kenny Rogers did in the 70s. Everything now is just chorus, chorus, .....darn I miss the good ole days!!!
