Can One Person Create Two Shadows?

My Brother walked through a doorway today into a small room with 2 lightsources. One light source was from behind him (sunlight through a window) and one was from his right (sunlight in a corridor.) There were 2 shadows cast on the wall in front of him. One must have been his, but what about the second one? I can't figure out why there were 2. There was no-one else in the doorway with him or anywhere near him. How is this possible?
